When I heard that Aunt Kay reached 105 years I couldn't believe it! Then shortly thereafter I regretfully heard that she had passed. Someone asked me once why I called her Aunt Kay, since I was not a blood relative, to which I replied immediately, "Out of respect." She certainly had the respect of all the Duryea clan. She was a fine quiet humble lady. Strong in her demeanor with a touch of no nonsense thrown in. I guess the many tribulations in her life bore fruit in her character. My sincerest condolences to all of her children, grand children and great grand children. My God give you all peace at this time and in the future. Sincerely, Bill Duryea

Aunt Kathryn was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. I remember coming down the stairs in Changewater and seeing something on the floor; Aunt Kathryn and Mom and Dad broke up at my expression. Mom and Dad always enjoyed their visits with her as well as with her parents: Uncle Lester and Aunt Mary. May they all be enjoying each others company now. God Bless and keep all of you safe.
